I need to talk about Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collab
Wednesday ⭑ June 10, 2026
SPOILER WARNING: Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collab.
I will be talking about Wuthering Waves' latest Chapter 3 side quest story, "At Dream's Edge". Screenshots are personally taken by me and contain major spoilers of the quest. Please proceed with caution.

I think it's time for me to talk about this. The long-awaited collab finally dropped on June 8th and I drove straight into the story.
The introduction of Lucy was smooth and fast-paced. As someone who haven't watched Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (not yet, but I was planning to, I promise!), I admit that I was like Rover who didn't know what they were referring to. Though Kuro Games explained the terms and I basically got the gist of Lucy and her crew's life at Night City.
I liked the interactions between the Lahai-Roi casts to Rebecca and Lucy, and I was pleased that they actually manage to fit in with the whole vibe, despite being different games and worldbuilding. It also made sense that they came from Somnoire. Rebecca's introduction was really hilarious!! I couldn't get the screenshot, but Rover's face and expression when she heard Rebecca cussing was funny and in awe. Because of rated PG, Kuro Games had to censor and bleep the cuss words, but it's always such a treat to see Rebecca just being herself on screen.
Don't worry Rebecca, when I first started Wuthering Waves, Yangyang was telling me all of these terms that even I had trouble understanding (I still forget until now). Also the potential trio, Rebecca-Lynae-Sigrika?! SOOO adorable and precious!! Anyway, there were plenty of scenes where I was super into it and hyped up (all the flashy fights, little expressions, Rebecca's foul-mouthed and loud personality), I couldn't help but feel sad on certain scenes too.
I didn't get to screenshot it, but I hate hate HATE Adam Smasher. I understand how much Cyberpunk fans hated that crazy cyborg and trust, I never wanted to beat an enemy's ass so badly everytime he appears on the screen. I'm so glad that he's an overlord boss, so I can just come in his domain and beat his ass 24/7. I hated his ass and the corpos so much, oh my god.
The way David haunts the narrative from the very start, up until his frequency faded, brought me into tears. It didn't help that this song was playing in the background, either. Everytime I see David on the screen, I immediately get the goosebumps and the tears start coming. And when his frequency finally revealed at the end, you really couldn't help but feel so happy to meet the legend of Night City.
Kuro Games really paid their respects and added subtle details that's connected with the Cyberpunk world, but it also feels like it fits just right in with Wuthering Waves' world as well. They replicated some parts of Night City and Lucy and David's apartment SO well too. And yes, the rumors are true, Kuro Games added the scene in the anime where Lucy and David were walking on the moon and she did the hand move thing!
And I gotta appreciate Kuro Games for composing a new song JUST for the collab, and the lyrics heartbreakingly fits well with Lucy, too. I had a rollercoaster emotion all throughout the quest, and it was such a bittersweet ending, too. I feel like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners fans will be pleased with this collab and can be interpreted as an epilogue, a closure that Lucy pretty much needed after the last heartbreaking episode from the anime.
I am not good at writing reviews and commentary about collabs, but I really want to talk about this so badly. I don't care if no one reads this blog, I just wanted to let this out. The delivery of lines, including the music stopping and then continuing when Rover looked down on this picture. God, my tears didn't stop falling, I swear.
I may regret watching the anime late (doing the collab quest first without finishing the anime and already learning about spoilers), but I don't care. I'll still watch it and then treat this collab quest as the canon epilogue/11th episode LOL. I was glad I get to witness everything the moment it first dropped; this is also my first gacha collab, too! I'm really happy.
I also still have a lot of screenshots I took but I don't know where to insert them in between my lame commentary, but I'll just post them all here:

Yeah, no, I need to see my therapist soon.
