Quick update this week

Friday ⭑ July 24, 2026

It's finally (almost) the weekend and I've been waiting for this week to end because I seriously can't handle it anymore.

Always after work, I end up finding myself wanting to do nothing but to sleep immediately. It doesn't help that the commute home is very tiring and takes around an hour due to the rush hour traffic (worse when it's raining, too).

Compared to my first week, I'm unable to get some "me time" before work starts at 8AM. Immediately after I clocked in, I always end up finding myself cleaning the office, arranging my files from yesterday, or doing the tasks my manager sent through text.

The worst was the umprompted overtime work I had to do when she gave me a task and didn't tell me the deadline was today. It's fine, I was already working on it. But then she shoves other tasks on top of the deadline and claims to do it first. Then a client also came in and had millions of other tasks and duties that he wanted to do, which was already way beyond what I usually do at work and isn't really applicable with the kind of system that we use. It was super fucking stressful, I had to take a quick bathroom break for a quick cry and fix. Up until now, my hands are still hurting from how fast I typed and pressed on the same keys.

My other colleague, who was also fairly new as she started just earlier than me, already told me earlier that she wanted to quit already. Since she, too, was swamped with work and she usually does overtime work on Saturdays. Though I didn't tell her, but I've already considered that thought the moment I signed the job contract, to be honest. Not because of the workload (it was a late realization), but because the whole management itself.

The thing is, no one can't be trusted. Literally. They turn you back against you when you're not around. I learned it the hard way when my other colleague wasn't around and my manager and my other colleague started talking about how "bad" he was. It was uncomfortable to hear, especially hearing it from our manager herself saying that he's incompetent, that he's stupid, and with his current work attitude, he wouldn't achieve anything in his life. At this point, they weren't even talking about his work ethics. But rather, they're talking to him as a whole person; as if he's the same way just as he was at work.

I told no one about my desire of quitting work. But I don't even know how long I could endure this type of set up and workload, to be completely honest. I guess this is the payback for all of the times that I took advantage of my previous work.

On a lighter note, I've finished the Chapter 4 of 3.5 update and I may post about it mabye tomorrow (if I could remember what happened; I vaguely remember anything at all, but I did appreciate how beautiful the sceneries were haha). I've also wanted to talk about the Dear Van Gogh collaboration that Sky: Children of the Light did, because that was such a touching and nice collab — I admittedly cried too on the last part.

I'll see what I can do with the 2 game updates. I've already finished both days ago and it feels "stale" to be talking about it since I don't pretty much remember what happened because of how stressed I was this week.

Anyway, that's all for now. Will write soon!
