This will be my first official blog post in my personal blog, yippee!

I've slowly moved my previous blog posts (all from Spacehey and Napoleonite) to here because I decided to use Blogger instead. I know the Blogger is now owned by Google (another problematic thing which will be opening a different can of worms when discussed; ugh, corpos), but I genuinely felt like Blogger is the easiest blog website that I can tweak since I've used this before. Despite not getting any major updates or upgrades for the past years and basically abandoned by Google, it's still running strong and probably used by thousands of other users.

But anyway, back to the topic on why I decided to switch here. For Spacehey, it seemed that there are no human moderators and the owner itself seemed to have abandoned the site — probably letting it run its course. I've heard plenty of people on certain regions are experiencing broken profile pictures and majority of the countries have banned Spacehey due to security issues (not sure about this). And for Napoleonite, well, it's a nice alternative but there are issues within the moderators and ex-moderators (?), and there's no certainty on how long the site will stay.

Anyway, don't want to dwell much on the pros and cons of these retro social networks but I decided that I probably won't try one again for a long time.

I'll continue to update and play around with the codes and my layout (and hopefully won't break the template codes, oh my god) and I don't see myself changing aesthetics yet, so I'm pretty satisfied with it.

Having a Blogger instead of retro socials will probably make me more introverted, but I like the idea of writing my thoughts and feelings into the void. I certainly don't mind if no one sees this blog. Though I'll be quite bummed that I won't probably meet or make friends that have the same interests as me, oh well.

But! I've got plans ahead and I'm very excited to write more blogs in the future. For now, that's all. Have a great day!
